Before qualifying as a counsellor, I spent over a decade offering mental health support through helplines, including long-term roles focused on chronic pain and crisis intervention. Since 2018, I’ve also volunteered with the Blue Cross Pet Loss Support line and, since the pandemic, with Cruse Bereavement Support. In the late 2000s, I supported 16–25-year-olds through YouthNet, working with young people facing emotional and mental health challenges. This breadth of experience informs my ability to work compassionately and flexibly across different life stages and circumstances.
My professional training is fully accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, (NCPS), an ethical body that upholds high standards of practice, safeguarding and professional conduct.
I’m committed to working ethically, safely and with integrity, in line with the NCPS Code of Ethics, a framework guiding confidentiality, boundaries, respect and client autonomy. I also engage in regular clinical supervision. This space for reflection and accountability ensures I continue to grow as a counsellor and offer grounded, responsive support tailored to each client’s needs.
